Their customer service and tech support are what makes IX a good choice. That they own their own data center and staff it with their own technicians sets them apart from many other hosts.
Their pricing would be higher than average if not for one thing—they always seem to have a special running that makes them very competitive, even with many low cost hosts.
IX Web Hosting claims to be "humbled by our customers and are fully aware that we exist to complement your internet-journey with uncomplicated, affordable service." I think they mean it, which means they "get" it.
